15th March saw me back to Wimborne's Walford mill.
I met Print maker Donna Peters in the top most studio. I learned a lot in my last screen printing lesson. Donna is a fantastic teacher with clumsy chaps like me.
I wanted to make some colour prints from my latest illustration. Spot the Dog was about to get a makeover.
I printed a series of colour squares first. I played with different acrylics. After the backgrounds were dry I lined up the illustration against the backdrop and printed the Doggie as a new layer. The last layer was the ball Spot was chasing. I carefully masked and printed a bright blue ball and made a series of copies.
I found the lesson a challenge, screen printing requires forward planning and focus. I made a lot of mistakes but I'll definitely be back for more printing with Super star Donna.
