Artist biography

I studied Art and Design at Yeovil college. I went on to study at Somerset college of art and technology. After graduation I worked as a Graphic designer for many different clients.

Illustration was always my first love. I have been drawing since I was tiny. Art was my favourite subject at school. Miss Jenkins was a believer in my abilities. I would never have gone on to further education without her.

The covid lockdowns of 2020 gave me time to think and create new paintings and sketches. I've been influenced by Ralph Steadman, Hayeo Miyazaki, Hokusai, Jamie Hewitt, Moebius and Quentin Blake.               

I started my own business in 2021. My style is whimsical and playful. I work in pen and ink, it gives my sketches energy and a graphic quality. Acrylic painting is something I do to play with textures and colours.

I sell prints, greeting cards and clothing with my designs. I've moved into screen printing this year. I can be found at craft markets and selected shops across Dorset.
